Pedestrians in cities around the world walk ten percent faster than they did just twenty years ago. This acceleration is not limited to walking—it reflects how the overall pace of life in major cities is much faster than in previous eras. Leeway helps users to use walking as an opportunity to recapture free-time by making them aware of their pace and bringing it into their conscious control. Leeway is a project inspired by the previous project Walking Book. It is a next step toward expanding to other medium. Since my series of experiment developed as more interaction and reaching to larger audience, mobile app was right choice of medium. Leeway automatically tracks your route and combines information from your location with an interface that allows the user to select a pace. Using the device’s accelerometer, leeway synchronizes the music’s playback speed with the walking speed of the user and gradually slow downs pace by changing bpm of music. Each line was made out of tracking ankles, hip and head. As it didn’t contain deeper information about the person and the experiment was still too similar as gait analysis, I changed medium to a book. For more information, I interviewed each person about walking and asked them to walk on paper with tempera ink on their foot. The first book was 45 inch width&nbsp; and 17inch height book with spiral binding which suppose to live on the floor. Flood caused by Sea Level Rise(SLR) will cause less damage than flood from rain storm or hurricane, but it will be long-term consequences which is more complicated and costly to solve. Climate change and SLR will change the environment of our neighborhood, as well as our interaction with the city. I designed 4 different walks each including high tide expectation point in 2020s, 2050s, 2080s, 2100s. Four points in each walk are located on as straight line as possible, so that people can see how far water will touch inland in the future by comparing. The amount of water that each reservoirs can contain is showed with different sizes of square. &nbsp; The goal is to make audience to realize how much effort exist behind those water we take it for granted. Also it allows audience to think about the link between urban landscape and the ecosystem far away. Resources are limited and we have to wise about it.
